About the Job

We're looking for a motivated Produce Clerk to join our team and help us deliver top-quality fruits and veggies to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
· Cut fruits and veggies and prepare delicious food service items like parfaits and stir-fry mixes.
· Ensure prompt stocking and rotation of produce, keeping our cooler, back room, and produce hallway organized and clutter-free.
· Provide friendly and professional service, assisting customers and taking accurate orders over the phone.
· Conduct quality checks, remove damaged products, and pack orders for delivery.
· Maintain a spotless work area by cleaning equipment, sweeping, and mopping as per health and safety standards.
· Keep the production team informed about daily waste and fresh product availability.
· Follow safe food handling guidelines and store procedures diligently.
· Perform opening tasks like setting up the produce floor and closing duties such as turning off devices and disposing of garbage.
· Ensure an exceptional shopping experience by addressing inquiries and providing assistance.
· Be ready to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
· High school education preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, good communication and interpersonal abilities,
· Knowledge of health and safety guidelines, availability to work flexible hours
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
· Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time (40 hours/week)

Wage/Salary: Starting at $17.95 – $21.00 per/hour (depending on experience)

Start Date: ASAP
Language of Work: English, French (an asset but not a requirement)
Transportation: Fresh Market Foods will cover a one-time round-trip travel cost for the successful candidate to our location and back to their permanent residence at the end of the work period. This does not include the cost for a full trailer move (household goods, trailers, or large personal belongings etc.).
